17th National Level Bharat Ko Jano

Guidelines Regarding 17th National Level Bharat Ko Jano
(Mumbai- Jan. 7th, 2018)

All the teams that have gone through the School level, Branch level and  Prant level phases of the Bharat Ko Jano pratiyogita(BKJ) organized by their respective Prant and have topped in the Region Level BKJ of their respective region (viz. North, Central, North-Central, West,North-East, East and South)  to participate in the National Level Bharat Ko Jano Contest scheduled for  Jan. 1st, 2017 at MUMBAI

        Quiz Contest is divided in two groups viz. Junior & Senior. Seven teams in each of two groups viz. Junior & Senior will be the finalist  in the contest. These teams will be asked questions in the Live Oral Quiz contest. 

        Each round consists of topic wise quiz based on (a) Religion & Culture, (b) History. (c) Geography & Economic Development, (d) Sports (for juniors) / Politics & Constitution(for Seniors) and (e) Miscellaneous round consisting on Current Affairs, National Achievements, Famous Personalities, Literature, Awards & Honours and Science & Technology etc.However each round may include more rounds based on Current Events, Literature and Audio-Visual Events also.

     In addition to the above rounds there will be an additional round titled BHARAT GOURAV (through buzzer) based on  this years’ theme Development of Science & Technology in Bharat through ages.

        Time given to answer each question is 20 second. 10 marks are awarded for each correct answer, No marks for wrong answer or unanswered question (No negative marks for team’s own question). The wrong answered/unanswered question is passed on to another team through fastest finger first buzzer or to next team in order if buzzer is not available. 5 marks are awarded for correct answer to the passed on question. Minus five marks (-5) for wrong or unanswered question, if taken on buzzer. No negative marks if buzzer is not available. For the time saving, the passing question on buzzer is restricted to the one or two chance only.Some rounds may be taken on buzzer or on the fastest finger first basis. The team that hits the buzzer first will be given 20 seconds to answer. 10 marks are given for correct answer and minus five (-5) marks for wrong or no answer.
